Sjørring invests in new logistics center
Phase one of expanding our logistics setup is on. We’re expanding to ensure a stable and fast delivery of attachment products to the construction industry worldwide.
Aquired by Terratech called for a new logistics center
In May 2022, we were acquired by the Swedish holding company TerraTech Group. This increased the number of attachment products that now pass through our production facilities. As a result, we needed a larger and better logistics setup so that we could remain out in front and offer our customers a stable, fast, and flexible logistics solution.
"It’s crucial that we have a stable and flexible logistics setup that is geared to serve the European construction industry as well as other continents. The industry is heavily dependent on the machines’ uptime, because if they’re not operating, the contractors lose money. Therefore, our foremost task is to deliver quality products to our customers at the right time and at the right place," explains our CEO Klaus Kalstrup.
Shipping on a new scale
In the first phase of the creation of our new logistics center, we’re building a 3,300m2 storage space that was previously used for parking. The space is designed to accommodate up to 2,500 digging and loading buckets. Annually, the storage space will handle up to 6,000 buckets for immediate distribution worldwide.
"Logistics and shipping on this scale are new territory for us, but I am confident that we are capable of handling the task. When the logistics center is completed next year, we have elevated our logistics setup to a whole new level," says Klaus Kalstrup.
We expect the new logistics center to be completed in early 2023. The logistics center is just one of several investments that we have in the works at the moment.
